Hello! I am an Assistant Professor of Finance in the Scheller School of Business at Georgia Institute of Technology.

I study household finance, with a particular emphasis on poor households. My first stream focuses on the consumption and debt behavior of households. In particular, I study the payday lending market, an easily accessible, but expensive form of credit often utilized by the poor. I am interested in questions of contract structure, the effects of economic policies and interactions with financial innovation. My second stream of research studies the effect of institution policy on its most vulnerable consumers.
